Independent research institute in Antwerp, constituted as a Belgian non-profit association (IPIS vzw), that provides tailored information, analysis, capacity enhancement and policy advice. In the copper-cobalt belt it works through Kufatilia, its incident reporting and monitoring system, which it extended to Lualaba in March 2023 by training three Congolese civil-society organisations in Kolwezi, and it gives the Kufatilia network financial and organisational support. In December 2025 it published an EU-financed briefing on the Lobito Corridor in southern DRC, which describes artisanal exploitation zones as scarce, poorly located or non-operational.
